Mel’s story

When Mel first came to see me, her marriage of 30 years had broken down. She didn’t know what to do, or how she would move forward. Mel says:

When I contacted Claire, I was shocked and scared I’d fall apart or that I’d end up getting bitter. Iknew both were negative things, but I didn’t know what, who or how to move forward. I felt confused.

Claire’s coaching really helped - firstly it was all positive. There’s no point being negative, it’s happened, and shouting or getting angry won’t make things better. Claire kept me positive and looking forward. (I also learnt what narcissism meant, and now understand why there were family issues with one of my sisters all my life…)

Things shifted when I had the realisation that this is me now and I choose how to move forward. I felt things shift again when we worked on understanding my values, and how important these are.

Claire is like that very knowledgeable friend, the one who listens, keeps you on track, teaches you but doesn’t judge you. I’d recommend her to you because this works. When you find out your husband of 30 years has gone, you’re lost. You need someone to help and guide you through the next months.
